Radcan Energy Services

Radcan’s main activity is the provision of radial drilling services. These services are contracted directly to the oil and gas industry with the provision of radial drilling systems including technical and operating personnel.

The company offers geological and reservoir technical assistance required for the screening and selection of candidate wells that have potential to increase production through application of radial drilling technology.

Radcan is engaged in constant innovation with regard to the development and manufacturing of new technology for tools and equipment.

All services are dispatched and supported from Radcan headquarters in Calgary, Alberta as well as internationally located regional operating centers.

Radial Drilling Program Requirements

• Fluid: KCL, Nutra-Cla, Frac Oil (frac oil can be used for jetting only).
• A/C Power: at least 8000 watts.
• Lighting: Tower lights for before daylight and after dark.
• Heat: Ruffneck heater for unit (boiler type or electric).
• Fluid Tank: must be cleaned and filtered to 5 microns (positioned approximately 35 m. from well near where unit will be positioned).
• Return Tank: a tee’d return line must come from production tubing to return tank.
• Fluid Amounts: approximately 500 gallons (2000 liters) for each lateral.
• Time: 1 Set (4 Laterals) – approximately 2 days
• Orientation: Gyro  allow ½ day
• Casing: 5.5” (139.7 mm) and up, no P or S grade (there may be exceptions to this).
• Cleaning: casing must be cleaned with a scraper run and production tubing must be clean and wax free.
• Can not drill through a casing collar or casing sleave.
